I visited Butterflies Exhibit in Chicago Botanic Garden last weekend. These are what I learn.
1. Butterflies are beautiful, magical, and mysterious creatures. There are more than 15,000 species of butterflies.
2. Most butterflies usually live two to three weeks, but some can live longer.
3. They have four wings and the six legs.
4. Butterflies can only fly if their body temperature is above 86 degrees
5. The speed varies among butterfly species (the poisonous varieties are slower than non-poisonous varieties). The fastest butterflies (some skippers) can fly at about 30 mile per hour or faster. Slow flying butterflies fly about 5 mph.
