What's camera ISO - Step by step with
examples The ISO controls how sensitive the camera sensor is to light. The low ISO indicates low sensitivity while high ISO equate to high sensitivity. A high ISO speed is suited for moving subjects or shooting in low-light conditions. However, the image will contain more noise to make it look coarse or grainy. On the other hand, a low ISO speed will make the image look finer, but it is not suited for freezing motion or shooting in low light. As a general rule, it's always best to use the lowest ISO that you can. Examples. Figure 1: Speed: 1/125, Aperture F5.6 and ISO 100 - perfect. Figure 2: Speed: 1/125, Aperture F5.6 and ISO 800 - over exposed. Figure 3: Speed: 1/800, Aperture F5.6 and ISO 800 - fast shutter speed while using high ISO could be an option with too noise. |
